Georg,

Will your battery stay under the seat? Be aware that the Kubota D600 is very sensitive to having a strong ground. There is a factory bulletin on adding an additional ground of large gauge wire (I think 4 or 6) to the original ground. I hope your battery isn't too far away from the starter, etc.

Nice project!

That's a very good comment. My 782D(and I suspect many of them) has only marginal battery capacity during cold starts. I'd go as overboard as feasible to make sure you have a low resistance path to the starter and to ground.

When you're pulling 100A (or whatever cold start pulls) IxR losses are BIG even if the resistance seems low.

John

Georg, I am impressed! That is quite a good job in creating the mock-up fuel tank out of paper. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Default 782 from gas to diesel

Great job on converting from gas to diesel. Looks like a VW Rabbit fuel cap. Keep the updates coming.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
