OK!! I apologize. I don't know why, but at the beginning of this thread, I thought the OP was talking about the "center", like the hole in the middle. Metal in the center like a grinder wheel. Yes, yes... I have seen both. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Here is the one that came out of my 122, as you can see it was coming apart. When I rebuilt my clutch I used all oem parts springs, bearing, roll pins and disc which was also fiber/metal. I figure if it lasted since 1966 why use something different?

In 1966 they did not have the metal center, looks like a replacement at one time...
