I have both Bostitch and Porter Cable pneumatic nailers-my framing nailer is a Bostitch clipped head nailer. I rocks. I even have a Dewalt battery powered finish nailer, it's the bomb for inside trim.
I'd buy refurb name brand nailers before buying Harbor Freight. Try Bigskytools.com for hitachi refurb nailers. I have a bunch of Hitachi cordless tools and they are as good as my dewalt ones. I have one Hitachi narrow crown pneumatic stapler, works great. there are other sellers of refurb tools, including dewalt and bostitch.

I used a porter cable clipped head framing nailer and never had a problem with it for 6 yr.i definitely got my money's worth out of it.
If you do a lot of decks that require a lot of metal hardware I used a hitachi pos placement nailer,the time saved paid for itself in 2 years use Of course with any framing nailer there is a possibility of shooting one into your hand . Btdt with both guns.ringshank nails are a little harder to pull out...
