What did you use for primer? And what are you going to use for paint?

Some of the sheet metal had rust. Some were surface but others were a little deeper that I had to grind out using a wire cup and wheel. So I was trying to fill back in what I had wire brushed out. I think that if I were to just paint over it the rust would have resurfaced and it wouldn't look as nice. When I repaint I'm going to use a HPLV gun with valspar IH red paint and hardener. I bought the paint before tractor supply stopped carrying it.

I had some time this morning to heat up my barn and do a little painting. Its only my 2nd time painting with a HPLV gun. Before I started painting the metal I made the adjustments and tried them out on to make sure I had the proper flow and band. I ended up putting too much paint on one piece of metal and had a run. I hope I'm able to buff or wet sand it out and repaint it.

Im painting an 1100 right now and it really stinks when all your pieces come out like glass and u get that one piece that has a little run on the end -_-

So I made some more progress on the 782. I started putting it back together and had a question for you guys. In one of the pictures is the mounting plate, engine, and bolts with the spacers. I can't remember how the mounting plate was fastened and where the nut, bolt, and spacers go. Does the plate first get fastened down to the frame then the bolt up through plate the spacer on top then the engine mounted on that fastened down with the nut?

Since most times the front engine bolts are tucked up over the axle and are a pain to get to I mounted the engine to the plate first. Yes you are correct the spacer goes between the plate and the bottom of the engine.
