i found some pics of the 124 when i brought it home. the 86 is on there to but you cant really see it. i was told it was a 124 anyway? it had a fire under the hood , cant find anything that gives me a clue that it is a 124. the motor still turns over & has very good looking oil in the crank case. i`ll get`r going when the others are done.

Default My two Cubs

I only have two Cubs, one for Winter and one for Summer. Hopefully this Winter I will restore the 70 with new "quality"paint as well as add a few options and the correct pan seat. They both run great and have never been rebuilt but they have been maintained. Both tractors have the creeper gear which I love. Had them out yesterday and these pictures were taken then.
Hope you enjoy them, I sure do!

Nice pictures! Is that the extended sleeve hitch adapter & pin so you can use it with a gearbox still attached on the 102?

Yes, the sleeve hitch was custom made from stainless steel and works great with the tiller. I love the narrow frame Cubs from the 60's, although those big red 782's sure look awesome too.

Great looking tractors. I think the gas relief seat on the 70 is cool.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
