Nice find Eric!!
![]() I just sold 3 O's to a guy down in south jersey. 1 of the ones was a 3 digit pull start . Yes I probably should of kept it but I would never do anything with it. I have a parts tractor which has all the goodies your missing on the O you have. Fenders, bird, oil bath, and nice grill and emblem. I also have uncracked seats. Let me know if you need parts. Lets face it. The O's are getting harder to find. I still have 4 left and 1's a 4 digit. |

I'm really happy you got a good one. I'm hoping with warmer weather (and parts help from Duke) I can get mine going soon.
I'm the worlds slowest mechanic, so you'll have plenty of company on your journey . John

Our situation with the O is that it has to be put on the list. My old 102 is first and that one is a worker. I have had that 102 since the mid 70s and as with all cub owners have put it to tasks they certainly were never designed for. No wonder IH finally had to sell. These little tractors just keep chugging along.

OK, since we took the mower off and it was just sitting there I decided that maybe it should have a make shift hood wing whatjathink about this till I find one? LOL. First one is my favorite but you'll have to make the decision!
![]() Now this one maybe the OCC favorite but I'm just undecided, ![]()

Just had to do something on the O today so I drained the oil out and aside from being dark no other fluids like water etc were present. Tomorrow it is going to get filled with new oil. First I think that I will add just a little new oil and then drain that out to really clean the oil pan without removal. We did find a used throttle and cable from one of our sponsors and it is on its way to our home. So the saga begins.

Yep, ordered a throttle cable and handle from Rich at Patton Acres and will be here this week, then to some other things that need to be addressed before it can really be moved much.

Now what were you a puttin in that boys head. He is still talking about the phone call. Seriously talking with each other both here and on the phone does help. I view these sites as a group effort to help each other. Too bad most of us live so far apart. Can you imagine what a brain trust it would be if we all got together at once.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
