I talked to quite a few people, and they said because it is only 10hp, the vibrations shouldn't be that bad. I've also had solid mounted kohlers to wheel horses, and the vibrations didn't bother me at all. I am probably going to take the seat off and store it inside, and buy a new universal one for usage.

I tried the non-oem motor mounts and was unhappy with the vibration that I was getting in my 1200. I switched to oem ISO mounts and very little vibration. I can be picky sometimes so maybe you'll have better luck then I did. Your cub your cash do what makes you happy.

I want to try the the solid mounts 1 because they are a permanent fix, and 2 I am 19 and in college so I don't have a ton of cash to play with. I am not going to be mowing with this anyways... I have a 72" Dixie Chopper that I mow with. I will only be using this to plow some snow.

How the engine attaches to the frame is the only diffrence I can think of at this time.

Like I said it's your cash and your tractor which makes it your choice. I respect your reasons for putting in the solid mounts What your going to do with it doesn't determine if and how much it shakes.

Please give us follow up feedback on the solid mounts. I hear of people installing them but very little follow up on them.

I feel one thing that is overlooked about the ISO mounts is the fact they are a wearable item like a rag joint or tires.

Okay, so I pulled the 3 pin driver, bushing, and bushing carrier (hub).

Now the bushing doesn't necessarily need to be replaced, however I would like to replace it with a bearing since I am solid mounting the engine. I found the bushing, I am sure it can be had cheaper than what cub sells it for also. Any ideas about replacing it with a bearing?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
