Today my Original was dropped off at my house and tonight I started tinkering on it to try to see if it'll run. Well long story short the wiring was a mess, and I can't get any power to the coil. I believe I've got the switch wired up right unless I'm missing something.

Nevermind I figured it out, and she runs. But leaks a TON of gas. Gotta get a new fuel line and shut off valve.

Having just gone thru this, if it's an O with original fuel lines (metal) let me know, as I just fixed all those leaks on mine without buying anything.

The fuel lines had been replaced at some point to a regular shutoff valve and rubber lines, but thanks for the offer. Got to take her for a ride around the yard before the rear tires went flat, they are shot. So next week i'm planning on buying a set of Carlisle 26x12x12 off the same guy i got the o from for 200. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
