Default 1200 with snow blower

I picked up a A36A blower in the spring and just finished restoring it, and was going to put it on a 149 I picked up at the same time, but after mowing with it all summer its starting to use alot of oil, so im thinking of rebuilding the motor this winter. I could mount it to the 147 but already have the 42" front blade on it. I was wondering how well it would work on my 1200 without a creeper gear? Just looking for your guys 2 cents thanks

I don't know what your snow is like out there, but here in NY, wet heavy or deep non-packing my single stage works best with a little higher ground speed than the two stage type. I use a 42" single on a ss12 low 3rd even high 1st works well. I would think you could increase your speed a bit for the 36", Than no need for creeper. I do like the Hydro trans the best for any snow removal method.

Id put the blower on the 147 and find a WF blade under carage for the 1200. Your gunna want the blower on the hydro because thhe varible speed is a huge plus. Those single stage blowers kinda have a speed spot for speed. And a blade on a gear drive is pretty fun.

I'm going to try my qa 36 on my 128 with no creeper this too. I tryed last year and it boged down but i found out that my pto was bad and the belt was not tight. I think it will work tho.

Im going to try it on the 1200, if the snow gets to be too much for it I'll break out the 147 with front blade, with all of the weight I have on it, it will push just about anything. Thanks for your 2 cents

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
