Well I've looked at a couple and decided on an original for my first cub. I've always loved these old Cubs and my grandpa would be proud to see me tinkering on one. I looked at a couple that ran but had no fenders. To me fenders make the look of these things. I found one thAt was complete with fenders and deck. It has a few extra parts from a tractor he parted out. It also comes with extra rims and tires from an original as well as an extra original 7 horse. He has owned it since 1977 and got it from the original owner. They Parked it 8 years ago due to getting a different tractor to mow with. He said it ran great and mowed good too when parked. It also has sat in a heated garage. I will post pictures when they upload. I think I did good

But that seat, not so nice.

That will be in a dumpster. I'm just glad he had the original seat. What do you think is a fair price for the tractor! Keep in mind along with the parts in the pic I got an extra grill, front and back rims, 7horse motor as well

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
