Nice Lew!

The 1250 doesn't look to bad either.

Whats that bolted or attached to the dash? Did it have a windbreaker at some time?

Lew,
Nice find on the cubs. I agree that the 1250 looks pretty decent, too. You could use it to pull the 127 out . Better yet, fire up the 127 and eat a path out with the snowthrower. Good thing it is attached.
Great find!

It is missing a few things, like a gas tank and a carb, and yes those were for a cab, maybe a hard one from the look of those brackets.

That looks like the bracket that attaches to the base of the windshield on a Sims cab. Here you can see the same mount on my $30.00 1450.

Well since all the snow has pretty much all melted, I figure I would pick up my 127 today.
I posted a picture 3 weeks ago and now it looks like this...

Seems like there were 2 sets of wheel weights on this buried under all that snow.Nice QA36 thrower also...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
