Question 2020 cub cadet xt1 stalling after two minutes every time

Hello, I have a 2020 cub cadet xt1 lt42 with a consistent problem. Here it is... It starts great and runs great for 2 minutes while mowing fine. It will then stall dead no sputter a quick-die after 2 minutes. It will start up again after it cools down for 5-10 minutes and will do the same thing after 2 minutes every time like clockwork. All gas and breather lines are clear and I’ve tried with the gas cap off. New gas. I’ve replaced the gas filter, the coil, spark plug and the ECU module. I’ve poked around quite well for loose wires ect. Cleaned the carb with chemicals but haven’t taken the carb all the way apart yet. My grass is getting long. Any ideas or help in any way would be appreciated big time. Thanks guys!

Kevin

Does your carburetor have an anti-backfire solenoid on it? If it is failing after 2 minutes that could cause your problem.

Turn your key on (but not start) when it is cold. Listen for a click down by the carb. When it fails, do the same and confirm the click is still there. If not, that is likely your problem. Also check to make sure you don't have something floating at the bottom of the gas tank that is plugging it up.

Engine cooling issues could vaporize fuel. Clean fins behind the tins.

Oil pressure shut off? Check oil.

Hello again. I was finally able to get some work done on my cub cadet. I did try bypassing the carburetor solenoid, no help. I then replaced the carburetor along with a new solenoid. The gas tank and the lines are clear. I also made sure all the cooling fins were cleaned. Again, like clockwork the engine stalls at about 2 minutes every time. I'm at my wits end and have replaced most everything. Starting fluid would keep the engine running is the only clue I can give. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Is there anything else I can try or make sure of. Thank much!

Cut the tip of the carb solenoid off.

Hi, I have tried snipping the end off but it didn't help. I put a new one in along with a new carburetor, the solenoid seems to be working okay. Right after it stalls at 2 minutes, turning the ignition on and off did produce a click. Thank you, Kevin

if you add "fuel" (starting fluid) and it runs. then its a no brainer, it ain't gettin fuel.
Since you have been shot-gunning parts at it, its a guess as to which fuel system part or parts are causing the problem.
Just remember in todays world, 50% of new parts are defective and made
in other countries, its a fact, like it or not.

I'd start with putting the OEM carb back on and noting the difference if any.
When one messes around with the fuel system its very easy to get the edge of a fuel line nicked off and it plugs a line. or you didn't blow the "new" fuel line out before you installed it, and we know a bug wouldn't dare to crawl inside.
just some things to check.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
