Question 102 wont move in gear
New cub cadet owner ...

I have a 102 appears to be all original no creeper. Was working fine driving around the yard hauling firewood. Drove up the sloped curb from the road to lawn and it just stopped moving partly up the incline.

The tractor shifts fine into all four gears and when in neutral it rolls with no issues. The drive shaft is struggling to spin. It spins a little but not consistently when in neutral and does not spin when in gear.

Not sure if I should be looking at the transmission or the clutch.

First, welcome to OCC..........

Your problem sounds like one of the "spirol pins" in the Drive Shaft has broken. I would look at those ----- first.

To get to that I need to remove the fenders and take off the top of the transmission ?

if the drive shaft is not spinning with it in gear it has to be a pin at the front by the engine. or the clutch is not gripping

Looks like the spirol in is missing from the front disc at the clutch. Just received my replacement part. Any tricks/tips on how to put it in?
