First, good day, eh?
Second, . Third, your question is quite relative to many factors, such as: location, condition, model, parts that remain on the tractor, what "extras" come with the tractor, what "added" options the tractor has, and as always, what price people are willing to pay. After all, something is only worth what another person is willing to pay for it. Cub Cadet 123

In my neck of the woods " Long Island " they are not real easy to come by. I've purchased what I could when I could. I look for them to be complete and as unmolested or non cobbled as possible. With that said, and this is just me, I feel like I cant get hurt for 100$ I've paid more for some but it really depends on background of unit. Original owner, kept inside, original paint, are a few things that get extra points in my book.
Happy hunting!

Being new to a land where the grass grows ALL summer long...
I just bought my first tractor this spring. It will need new tires -- sticker shock at TSC, although I'm sure there are cheaper sources... So for me a tractor with decent used tires on it is worth $100+ to start If there's more good parts that fit, it'd be worth that much more to me... |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
