I just got home with the next project, eventually... some day.
20180217_134021.jpg 20180217_134103.jpg Right now I am going to see if I can get the armstrong handle to go onto the 104. Or put the 12 horse and plow on it. Any suggestions before I attack? I know winters not over, as much as I wish it were! ![]() ![]()

Nice find. Does it run?
Is your 104 the one with the bad hydraulic lift? The handle will work, but I would get it running and put a blade on it.

Nice catch. My first cub was a 102 with a rubber seat. Very comfy. Mike

Great rescue John. That will be a strong cub and it looks like it is in overall, good shape. Uncle Lew said to put a blade on it, which is a great idea, but I am finding it harder and harder to locate NF blades in my area. The WF seem to be plentiful still. If you plan to put a NF blade on it, I hope you can find one. Nice find.....something about the snub nose cubs that just brings back the 60's nostalgia!

Looks like a nice survivor. I'd be proud to get that one up and running again. It shows its age well.

Guy says it runs but real rough... I have a different carb that came off the 10horse from 104. Gotta find a battery and the steering is froze up. Traded a front pto for it, and it has the front pto on it so basicly I got it free!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
