Hey everyone I just brought an 86 home and was looking to see what year it is (1972) by the way but my question is that the machine code does not match what the book 50 years of cub cadet by Oscar H Will III says is the code for an 86. Mine is 2050042, 0042 is the machine code a 147 is 0041 and an 86 should have either 0207 or 0208 could someone help clarify what my

Thank you John, Lance, and Deltacub for the info I have book marked that link for future reference the book error got me wondering so just for grins I checked the codes on several different machines and compared them to the book and that was the only one that was off.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
