Default For the "Old Timers"
Not Cadet but obviously IH related. Opened up a NOS set of points for a magneto on a Farmall F-20 the other day. Don't see many IH packages these days. Should have saved a few when I could get them easier.

Those are neat!! I love to find old boxes with the original insignia. Takes me back to a time when I used to go to the IH dealer with dad... Every shelf was lined with something branded and boxed IH... Even the parts bins had an IH on them!!

ya I used to sonder in and set on da stool and talk a bit, and then get parts, after catching up on news.
Today it is all ordered on the computer and picked in a modern air conditioned store, in a rush.
Just not the same anymore.

we still have a small handful of places like that and I remember them well... but modern times and the internet have put most of them out of business. It's kind of sad but true!

It's still like this, in some regards. I went to the Redline equipment store in Adrian MI last saturday to buy some CNH paint and spent more time chatting with the parts guy than I did searching for the paint, etc. It doesn't help that the guy has known me since I was born....


I like the IH stuff. I can relate about not saving things: I worked at a Kmart for 10 years and couldn't care less to save anything that said Kmart on it- the store I worked at is gone and the whole company will likely go under within the next 10 years. 50 years from now (doubtful) people will be searching for nostalgic Kmart things and wonder why I didn't save any of it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
