Well, I got my camera back & working, so here goes!
I bought my first 123 this month. Yes, I most likeley paid to much money for it but this is the same model I grew up on cutting grass, moving snow around..........leraning to drive. I can still hear dad saying 'Slow down BOY! Yer cuttin grass, not racin fer money!' So, to me it is a part of my childhood. Silly I know. Here are some pics of my new 123 and the 1650 my dad replaced his 123 with. (123, sounds so simple for such a great little tractor huh?) The ony problem I've hit with the 123 is that the front PTO clutch is problematic. One day it works as it sholud, the next day it stays engaged full time. That and it makes a horendous noise at times. I think I may have to rebuid it. OK, pictures attached! I hope

Thanks John. She needs some TLC in a few areas. By the paper trail I got I'm the third or fourth owner. Someone wrote on the front of the manual dates & sale prices. The recipts inside of the manual list someone by another name having bought a starter / gen rebuild kit.
Does anyone else have a wife that says "Quit playing with that Cub!'? Or am I alone in that? LOL.

Nice looking Cubs. I see an electric lift on the 123. I also have a 123 (actually two if you count the engineless one I have). I like the looks of the 1x2/1x3 and 1x4/1x5 tractors the best, with the 100 and 70 right behind them. Check around here on the PTO rebuild, I'm sure there's a procedure documented here somewhere.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
