Default '95 Cub 1641 Hyd Lift

So far, our fix up restoration is goin' fine.

Grandsons 'n I are going to look at a frame and dozer (snow) plow tomorrow. The boys are excited, seat time and no school. We'll be stoppin' at TSC for paint and a walk-about, boys'll be boys ya know!

Now the hydraulic lift is working but, just a couple of questions. When down, max low, the two pins for the frame attachment are just 'bout even with the frame (top of pin at low max on the frame, visible).

The indicator moves to "1" (low). High max reads "7".

Is the lift moving to the lowest, where it should be? Or, should the pins be lower?

Thanks Sam! I think I'm going to use hair pin cotter pins when I put a frame up. I didn't see anywhere there might be interference.

Hopefully the dozer us boys are gonna take a peek-a-boo at is worthy enough. Might get more snow for the boys to push down the driveway.

Hard for me to tell but it looks like you should have a little more down travel. I just can't tell from your picture.

Pull the tunnel cover off and watch the cylinder action against the other moving parts and your adjustment height rod.

Some of my Cyclops tractors, the pins will drop maybe at least an inch below the frame. Maybe more.

There should be a handle on the rear plate of the tractor, (it's actually a rod bent to a 90*angle). You turn the handle to adjust the deck stop. It should be almost right below the fuel filler cap between the back wheels, on that plate. I believe left is higher adjustment right is lower but don't quote me on that. Be careful when you unscrew the lift stop rod. It has a small left hand bolt in the end to keep it from unscrewing all the way. Very easy to break it, ask me how I know. best way to check is to pull the tunnel cover so you can see if it's going all the way. I think your good but feel free to verify.

Sam, thanks a zillion.

Foot rests off. Surprisingly the rubber foot rests in excellent shape.

Sheet metal is ok although needing lots of cleaning, sandblasting, prime coat, finish coat.
Picked up new hardware, Nylock nuts and bolts, stainless steel of course. Add Never-Seez during install.
