Just doing some "community service" (play time) with the 100.
Was driving down the road, just picking trash out of the ditch and fields. Went about a mile down the road and back. I'd really like to find one of the little fender-ed IH carts. (Sorry, don't know the cart models yet --still kinda new to the IH game) Have any of your machines helped out neighbors or done some service for the community? |

Good on you!
Yep, after hurricane Ivan, me and the 127 with a log chain and a sheet of plywood skidded downed tree logs from backyards to the curb. We did not cut for firewood, just cut small enough to roll onto the plywood and drag it out to the curb. I also cut the lawns of the retirees within site of our house. In return I get garden goodies, home baked goods, etc. LOL. |

I live next door to a 60 y.o woman who lives there by herself: I often mow her back yard and did a bit of snow removal on the driveway this winter; she surprised me with a card with some $$ in it this winter (although that's not why I was doing it).

I also plow a couple neighbors drives. One older guy is on oxygen and his wife is in a nursing home. He always wants to pay me but I won't take anything. Knowing that I helped him is worth it for me. Keep up the good work Bud!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
