Default Picked Up A 122 Tonight!!

This morning during break at work I was browsing Craigslist as usual and spotted this 122. I called the guy and he said he did some plumbing work for an elderly women in exchange for this 122. She said her husband purchased the tractor brand new and after he passed away about 20 years ago it had just been sitting in the garage. So he brought it home, checked it all over and got it running. I made arrangements to go look at the tractor tonight after work and I am sure glad I did! This 122 is without a doubt all original including the paint! Also has the optional 16x6.50-8 front tires. Everything works including the mower deck as it should. I am also very surprised to see it has the original seat on it not to mention the condition of it. Attached are some pictures of the tractor when I stopped to get some gas on the way home and a few after I got it home. Sorry for some of the dark pictures but was getting dark by the time I got home. I hope everyone enjoys the pics!

Great find mrmiller! It pays to always be on the lookout, as you already know! Almost like turning back the clock.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
