Default cub 149 question
I recently picked up a 149 and having some issues.

I replaced new points, condenser, new battery, coil, starter gen plug . here Is the problem. I have to jump it to get it running. it seems like too much compression.it cranks really slow. I was thinking maybe ACR but not sure. Maybe I'm missing something?

Any help would be great.

Congrats on your new 149. Regarding your problem, it's possible you could have weak grounding on battery cable wire to tractor, dirty battery connections or loose starter generator belt. ACR is possible as you suggested but I'd keep it simple at first before digging in deeper.

Jump directly to the starter and see if it turns over normally. If yes they you have a wiring ground problem.

I see you're in PA...and it's winter...do you have the wrong oil in it? Also, the rear end could be cold and that causes hard starting in a hydrostatic cub.
