I got this tractor about 5yrs ago.I went through it and fixed what I felt needed to be fixed.Complete 100% new drive line, rebuilt steering column, new wiring harness, working guages, new seat, rattle can paint, new decals, added lights, new switches, new tires, engine was a strong runner but decorbonized combustion chamber, rebuilt carb and tune up.This weekend I had to replace the axle seals, got that done. But it has ALWAYS had a butt numbing vibration that I could never get out.I put new ISO mounts in it but vibration still wont go away.I guess while its winter Im gonna pull the engine and do the cradle mod and upgrade the clutch spring. If this doesn't remove that god awful vibration its gonna be put up for sale.Pics to come as work progresses.

I hope when you put it back together the shakes are gone. I'd hate to see you get rid of such a good looking machine!!

It is a great looking cub and I hope you keep it. I am very unfamiliar with the QL series, but I assume it isn't drastically different from the WF when it comes to seat bumpers (the rubber stops that go where the seat frame meets the fender pan). How are your seat bumpers?

I changed out the 3/4" spindles to 1" and got some super front wheels. The tires are 18x850x8's.The 16x650x8's just looked too small with the 26x12x12 rears and it sat down too much in the front with the 16's.Its sits alot more level this way.I have just got to get these small but important bugs solved so I can get things underway.I really need to build a blasting cabinet for the small parts but I think I will just remove them and get it done this time and build the blasting cabinet sometime in the future.Adaquate filters for the compressor I just found out will cost around 150.00.Always something.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
