Default Whats the best way to make a cab?
I eventually want to make a cab for my 1450. I want to know. Would it be easier to make one out of wood or metal. I have a welder I've just never gotten around to using it so I don't have much welding experience. I know my dad and grandpa has had some. We are all better at woodworking though. I don't know what would hold up better. There is a Cozy cab in WI for $300 its like new, never been used. I don't know if that's a good deal or not.

That's a really good deal for a cab! Better get it before it's gone..... Easier to buy, than to make.

The thing is I've got about $200 set aside for tractor stuff ATM. I had to have my grandpa pitch in. He's always helped me as long as I pay him back. Which I have.

That's not a cozy cab..... It's an IH windbreaker cab. BIG difference.... But still not a bad price. Problem is, if the materiel rips, or glass needs replaced you have to make it.

Sorry about that. Newbie in training still. I get the two mixed up.
I've got a narrow frame windbreaker that's missing pretty much everything except the front windows and doors. I don't want to modify it and I have a 125 it could go on. I want a cozy cab, That would be awesome.

Don't buy this cab! It is for a 60's, early 70's cub....those would be the NF's and you have a 1450, which is a WF. There is a difference! You could probably get it to work, but it would require some engineering. It won't readily adapt to your application.
