where exactly are the points
tried looking but possible not good enough. can someone please tell me exaclty where the points are and how to get to them if they are not easily accessable.
how to i check them to see it they are still good. does anyone have pics. that is the best way for me to understand things thanks |

lol im guessing a 108! there below the exhuast elbow by the frame rail under a rectangle shaped cover... theres 2 small screws that need to be removed... not too hard but a real PIA!

thank you to all that responded in a possitive manner. this following response has NOTHING to due with you or this board.
sorry it is a 108 with a 10 horse. gravest. this is for you only. let me tell you something dude. i just asked where they where because this is my first kohler. it is sitting out in the barn and i have not had time to look around the motor for the points because i have been so busy with my fabrication business which i do many engine rebuilds, conversions, and long travel suspensions. (so i am just guessing. I might be able to find them  ) i am not going to get into a grade school match with you. this will be my only post too you only. before you say something about someones knowledge of something you better make sure you know what road you are going down. i simply asked the question because i am not able to look for the points at this time and when i do have the time to go out i can go immediatly to the location and start wrenchin insted of looking for them. Time is money. If i can get something done faster because someone has done it before .mbe does NOT mean i do not know what i am doing.I do not mean to sound harsh by the way. |
