Cool The 149 with a blown motor.

I picked up this 149 today.
The good is it has a 3 point, wheel weights,48" mower deck and a nice seat.
The bad is it has a blown motor and the tranny has a broken differential.

How does it look?

You will have to picture it in your mind or look at the one you have.

Pictures will be posted later on Saturday.

SORRY LEW, YOU ASKED FOR IT

It looks GREAT in my mind, knowing you have all the spare parts and know-how to fix it. Just Can't tell how nice that paint is or if it's below 482,000 or above. Can't tell how bad the motor is blown either - locked or knocked???

Also can't tell how much one would give for a blown 149 - but that will remain a mystery even with 50 pictures!!

We'll just have to assume it's in this condition until further evidence is submitted...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
