Default Brake on a 582

not sure if this is the correct section for this.....

how does it come out. and how can I tell if it needs changed.

thanks , I got the one part out. junk around the O-ring.

but now? how does the other piece come out.

and are the brakes still available

Is the brake Puck missing pieces on the edges?
To remove the brake Puck,
Remove the brake adjusting nut and stud.Remove the small rod and ball.
Use a punch to drive out the brake arm rod.
From inside the of gear reduction housing push,or drive out the puck.The one in the housing, I have never removed,but it will come out by breaking it in pieces.
You may be able to turn down the the disc on a lathe to true it up.
