Default It runs! 1450 project
I found out the ignition switch was bad...rigged a push button for now until I can get a replacement, replaced coil and adjusted points. She finally started and purred pretty good except I had to keep the choke half open or she would die. Not getting enough gas? I will work on that, but man am I excited.

I also need to replace the head I believe, spark plug slot has been worked on with an insert that comes out with the spark plug and the threads look bad........

Are there any differences in the heads of the k321s? I saw one for sale that said it was from k321 from a John deer (sorry) 140.

awesome! I bet that put a smile on your face. I was on youtube earlier watching vids of 1450s just to hear what they sound like. Can't wait to get one of mine going!

Only thing Is spark plug location. No apology needed, I think we all are mature enough to cope with it lol haha . Anyway, kohler moved the plug location around over the years. Compare the location of your head to the one off the 140. You can always change the cylinder head sheetmetal baffle if you need to. It should match up. Pics would be best if you can. The 1968 JD 140 had a 12 horse and 69 to 72 used 14 horse engines. I don't if you can put a k301 head on a k321?

A 10-14 horse head will fit. Bolt Patterns and the gasket is the same for all 3. It may have a little more compression but that's not a bad thing
