Default Headlights on Cub Original
I have a 1963 Cub Cadet Original I bought last summer. My question is has anyone seen headlights mounted on an Original in the grill like the one I have pictured? I have seen many Originals, but not with this setup.

Anything is possible with PO mods, but that is not how the headlights on an Original were intended to be mounted by IH. They should be mounted on the sides off of tubular L-brackets.

I'm gonna agree with Alvy. I like that look better than having them mounted outside. It just looks cleaner IMO.

Thanks to all for your replies. This Cub was a mess as noted by the coil location. I've since stripped all old wiring and cables and such to begin the rebuilding process. May take a while but I'll plug away at it. There is something about the look of this Original that appeals to me. As a newcomer to your site I have enjoyed reading your threads, but especially enjoy looking at your pics of these great little machines.
