Found this and had to have it. I guess just because you dont hardly see them. PO says it sat for 2 or 3 years but ran great. It needs some clutch work however I'm pretty excited for this one. I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do with it but its home now.

Great find! There was one on Craigslist a while back that looked mint and I regret not going to buy it, I don't really need another tractor but those are so rare I'm sure I could find room for one. I have a NOS side panel decal, If I remember correctly it's for the left side, pm me if you're interested.

Gear drive cyclops with creeper and only 700 hours. Like it is, that thing must be rarer than an 800.

It's probably is but since it's not IH made it doesn't get the respect it deserves.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
