Default 1650, I guess I dont understand

Hey there all. I have a 1650 along with others but the 16 is the only one with hydro lift.

My question is.....I guess I dont understand is....how does a sleeve hitch attach to the hydro lift? and I have looked at sites that sell sleeve hitches but they do not look "complete". I seen an awesome video on youtube with a guy that had a sleeve and a plow on his 16 and it looked like part of the rear lift went under the seat some how.

Is there some videos or diagrams of all the "pieces" that are needed for a sleeve hitch and how to attach to the existing hydro lift? I have also looked at partstree for diagrams but do not seem "complete" either.

Also I was looking at my 16 today and noticed that there looks like two small round rings on the rear end of the frame where the "pivot" part of a lift may fit into but would have to loosen up the frame bolts, i think, to put it in. Am I maybe correct here? I have borrowed this picture from another website for reference only and have circled the "pivot" part im talking about.

Thanks for your time....Like I said I just dont understand all this exactly as I am nieve and have never seen an in person a rear hydro lift yet.

Thank you!!!
John

The lift on my 128, will give you an idea where the bar goes. You will need to remove the tunnel cover from your 1650 to access and see your lift mechanism.

First off please understand, the picture that you posted is that of a 3 point hitch and not a sleeve hitch or more properly named a "sleeve hitch adapter".

Hydraulic lift or manual lift, either way, the small flat plate on the end of the lift bar (in your picture) bolts to the implament lift rockshaft on your tractor, where motion is transfered through the lift bar to the center casting at the rear of the tractor. The lift pin in the center casting attaches to your sleeve hitch adapter.

The terminoligy is a little confusing and difficult to understand.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
