Default Personal Plow Day :)

I finally got my stuff for my sleeve hitch lift last night. Got it all installed today and decided to break it all in correctly. I was afraid it was still too wet, but the ground plowed up real nice and easy. All I can say is hydro lift is the only way to go, especially if you have a really bad back to begin with. The 782 was a pleasure to use and get dirty. I found myself wishing I could find more spots to plow LOL. The plow wasn't quite set correctly but it worked real good despite that. I definitely need a plow day and some experienced help in showing me how to set it up correctly. I followed the instructions in the manual, but I must have missed something, LOL. Anyway, below are some pics of the productive day. Next will be letting this cold front move thru then hit the garden with the disc since I don't have a tiller yet.

The finished lift

The landside would actually trail way too far to the left and was 3 or 4 inches up in the air. Can't get that part figured out. I ended up putting the bolts into the sleeve hitch to keep it more centered up instead of letting the plow push against the left side of the sleeve hitch as I plowed.

Which hole in the hitch yoke are you using, and is your plow bent or something? It should track straight without using the adjustment bolts.

Middle hole according to the manual. Plow is perfect, is almost brand new. The hitch yoke could be on backwards. I probably do need to check that, I hadn't even considered it.

Looks great! And that's what got me started. Got to do the hood! Once those are done you'll start having people pass the word on just so you can get some more plowing time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
