Belt question
I'm going to need a spindle belt for my 38". I found the belt chart, and there is a local CC dealer in Wheeling WV, but I'm wondering if there is a better priced online belt supplier that you all use.
Also, the fellow I got the tractor from said to only use CC belts because they have their own angle to ride in the pulleys better. Is that true? Josh P

It it wise to CC belts because they are an Agricultural Type of Belt and designed to take the bending, twisting, and horsepower.
The fine Sponsors at the top of this page would be more than willing to help you out with your belt needs if your local CC dealer can't.

You can go here: http://www.cubcadet.com/webapp/wcs/s...1_1100505_Y_-1
and type in your model number where it says product number, then pick from the list on the right your serial number. Another window will open and you can then look thru the attachments folder to find the correct deck and then the belt number. Add it to the cart. Go back to the main page after adding the belts to the cart and click on register at the top. You don't have to register, but it will bring up the cart listing and that will have your prices listed. Sounds long winded, but with some use it becomes a pretty quick site to move around in.

It's true. I use off brand belts. They tend to separate at end bond points due to the direction bending through the mule drive. Mine lasted 1 season of hard use, and I intend to use it till it breaks, but it is not in new condition. hard use means trying to cut 3 ' tall grass in swampy land, Im more stubborn than the cub is but its proven more unstoppable. That belt has seen Heck and I am sure has sweatted a bit.
