need help on how to bypass a ignition coil resisitor have located it just need to know how to bypass it since the coil says no resistor required internal resistor so help a man out here!

I'm confused. Why do you want to bypass the resistor? If this is for a Cub, you need the resistor...

because the new coil i got from napa says no external resistor required and yes its for a cub 1000 wide frame (all were wide i guess) but tell what i should do cause im lost!

The coil with the internal resistor is the correct one for a Cub Cadet...just connect it up.
It says 'No External Resistor Required' because it has one built in and does not need an external resistor like most other coils do. |

does tht mean i can leave the resistor on the engine block unplugged? or keep it plugged in?

One more time...the proper coil for a Cub Cadet has the resistor built in, so you do not need an external resistor. If your tractor has one, someone added it, and you need to remove it when you install the correct coil.

I know of only 2 plugs near the engine. One is the stator connector to the rectifier- 3 wires: 2 outers are ac28v, center is 12v+. I am pretty sure the aluminum shell is the - . The second connector is a single wire for the electric PTO. As stated before, the coil and resistor are built together.

If you have an External Resistor installed on your Cub.....REMOVE IT and do not use.
