Default A Couple Of My Projects - 2 1/2 years of piddling

I just got my 2072 back together and thought I would let you guys see it. I suppose the biggest issue with it, along with the 1200, is I couldn't paint them the true Cub Cadet white, because the white in the decals wouldn't match. I made the mistake of painting the 1200, CC white and then put the decals on and had to completely change the white to match the decals. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied them.I have the deck completely restored for he 1200 but I just keep it in the shop as I never mow with it. Maybe this summer I will restore the Haban deck for the 2072 or as time permits. Hope ya'll like them

Default Two & 1/2 years of Piddling

I hope I have finally figured out how to post pics.I posted them once today & they didnt go thru, but I'll try again. These are my little projects that I have done in the past couple of years.I just got the 2072 put back together this week. The 1200 has a fully rebuilt drivetrain, added headlights, new wiring harness, new exhaust, fluid filled tires, rebuilt steering column, new front bearings, carb rebuild,& so on, refurb is about 1 1/2 years old.I wish I could have went with CC white with the 2072 & the 1200 but the white in the decals did'nt match. Both the 1200 & 2072 are in top notch shape,I have the 1200 deck completely restored but just keep it in the shop as I never mow with them. The 2072 has had just as much attention if not more & has a 60" Haban deck, but I have'nt gotten to restoring it yet but all it needs is cleaning & paint.I have a 27hp SLT that I cut my grass with so these are just what I do in my spare time.Just wanted to share them with ya'll!!!!!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
