Default Need service manual for 1641(pto wiring)

I was checking the wire conections where the electric pto plugs into the tractor's wiring harness and the wires pulled out the back side of the plug. The pto will turn on either way that I hook them together. The plug is tee shaped and will only go together oneway so I'm sure polarity should be observed. The pto side has two black wires. The tractor side has two green wires and one brown. I couldn't find a service manual for a 1641 in the technical library. Maybe someone where I can download one or if the the pto wiring is the same on other models. Thanks, eddy622611

In looking at the 1641 Wiring Diagram, it does not depict the connector you are referencing. This simply means that it is not pictured. Attached is a simplified circuit diagram that I drew up.
The A version is what the CC diagram shows. The B version shows what you might have. The Brown wire would be the 12V +, while the Green wire would be chassis ground.

Roland, Your correct the B diagram is what I was refering to. We just finished mowing for two hours, so either I hooked up wires correctly or the coil in the pto isn't polarity senseitive. Thanks, eddy622611

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
