I brought home my revamped sweeper tonight. Had been working at it in the shop at my old man's place. Now I just need it to STOP raining so I can try it out.
![]() DSCN1554.jpg Found these tire & rim assemblies at TSC the other day finally. $25.00 per set DSCN1557.jpg DSCN1556.jpg Friend of mine found these tranny gears for me. She spent about an hour or two one day looking through parts books and spied them in one of the older Massey Ferguson models. It passed one of her slow days at work this past winter. What else is a parts person to do? ![]()

Wow, Mike....it really does look great, and much sturdier than the ones made today. This is a great topic for me, since I am in the process of shopping for a pull-behind lawn sweeper. So, that being said, what is the best one out there today? Parker? I haven't seen a new Parker lately, so not sure if their quality is still a high level. I only know they cost a bit more than the others. Hey, Mike....wanna sell yours? lol

Honestly, I don't think ANY of them are good quality anymore. Was looking at an IH sweeper on e-bay, but it ended up selling before I got to it. VERY nice looking. Red basket on it and honestly it looked like its been used a couple years and shedded after that, just dust on it. Oh well, I will keep my fingers crossed that it works out. Sun is trying to shine today - so will keep hoping its dry enough when I get home today to try it out.
Ummmm...Mooner....NOPE! At least not yet......unless it craps out on me, then I might be giving it away! ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
