Default Got my 149!

Well, I'm a happy guy. I made a trip to Michigan (about 4 hrs.)yesterday to look at a fine 149 that was being sold by its original owner. In addition to the tractor, I got the 44" mower deck, dump trailer, snowblower, rototiller, Brinly plow, tire chains and wheel weights, a brand new seat (still in the box), as well as qts. of hydraulic and engine oil, and Genuine Cub Cadet paint. I spent the day today cleaning it up and doing some maintenance. We're expecting quite a bit of lake-effect snow tonight and tomorrow, so I'll be trying out the snowblower for sure!

Thanks, guys! Everything is in fantastic shape too! I'm looking to add the Borg analog hour meter. Anyone know where I can find one? I've looked on a few sites with no luck yet. There's a spot on the dash that looks like it'll fit nicely.
Forecast is calling for 13 inches of snow in the next few days....Ha!

Check with the sponsors at the top of the page. Most likely Rich at Patton Acres has one.

You can get a side panel that goes on the left side under the fuel tank from Patton's that should already have the hole for the hour meter. That is where they were placed originally. Just info you may not have known. I am going to get one for my 128.

DX3, thanks for the info. I'll check out Patton's again. I need to go there soon, since it's only about 45 mins. from my house.

DX3, I sent an email to Patton's about the hour meter and also the quiet muffler. Where did you get your Ag tires? I think they look great on the Cubs.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
