Default Little sanding and painting

Well I have some time off this week so I figured it was a good time to do some cub cleaning and painting. I took the front rims off finally and sanded, primed and painted them today and also did the same with the seat pan. Hopefully the 127 will start to spruse up now. Next up is the fender pan and the hood.

seat pan all primed up (one spot is wet, I did not get a spot of the sy=ticker off, so had to redo that spot)

Painted

Rims all sanded and primed

And the rims painted, tire mounting tommorow!!!

More to follow tommorow !!

Just curious why you didn't paint the inside of the rims? A tire will seal best against a clean, painted bead. That rust is eventually going to spread and probably mess up your new paint. Also, I'd wait more like a week before mounting the tires to give the paint a better chance to cure.

Actually the inside of the rims are discolored but there is no rust. They were in great shape. There were a few small rust spots that I did sand and paint. The paint will be ready tomorrow I have body shop heat lamps on it that I borrowed from my buddy.

The only 'discoloration' I see in there is rust-colored. That's going to come back eventually.

I have a new seat pad, so I figured let me get the seat painted with the rims since I have the replacemt seat cover and new front tires.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
