A 124 is a gear drive, so this doesn't even apply.

OK Matt it's my darn dyslexia showing up!It's a 125 the one with the Danco loader I also keep mixing up the 582 and 682 as in which is hydro. The dash is being repaired on the 125 so the model # is missing and I guessed! And now I'm guessing that's why my search didn't work also! Here's a before pic IF I did this right!

And at any rate, a 125 would not have had a ported hydro from the factory, as none of the CC tractors used one at that time.

Can a ported pump from a later tractor be installed in a 125 without major mods?

The ported pump would fit, but the installation of hydraulics would be messy to say the least. I have seen it done, but the end result didn't look too factory. There is very little room for adding stuff inside of a NF. If you want hydraulic lift, either use a PS pump, drop $300 for a NF hydraulic lift, or buy a WF.

Thanks. For now my manual lift is just fine. I was only curious.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
