Default Hello from Michigan..
Joined a couple of weeks ago and have been lurking for quite some time. I'm in the lawn care business and have an old cub cadet 129 i'm thinking about bringing back to life, mainly for the Tiller and maybe to cut my own lawn in old school style. Nothing beats sitting back drinking a beer and cutting the lawn, darn near impossible on a Zero turn @ 10mph :biggrin2.gif: Anyway thought i'd introduce myself. 36, married with a six week old son! Nice looking 129 and tiller. Got a engine for it? It looks good a little bit of cleaning and your set. The paint looks good too.

The pictures I have of these are from a couple of years ago, I was going to sell it on Ebay but I never listed it for one reason or another, It's been sitting in my shop ever since. I had it in northern MI on my propert for years, came with the property 25 years ago when my father bought the place,
I brought it down when we sold the place.

Originally I was going to repower it with an extra 1600 VW Beetle motor I had in an old sandrail, the motor sat so perfect under the hood and I toyed with the idea for quite some time, needless to say I have too many irons in the fire and never started it. Now I have the K301 sitting on my bench half torn apart that I started disassembling two years ago but I'm either going to try and rebuild it myself or pay some one to do it, we'll see.

As far as the Tiller goes I really don't know the model number, I can check this weekend as it's 25 miles away at my shop where I store my equipment, but I do have a pic of it so maybe you can tell me.

I'm a newbie to Cub's and vintage garden tractors in general. Implements are very new to me, I'm picking up a #1 tiller on tuesday and yours looks just like the one I'm getting, but I can't tell the difference. Oh wait, if I'm correct the model #1 and #1a tillers are the only ones you can add extra tines too so it must be a #1 or 1a?
