Default 129 hydro control

I have a 129 with the controls as parts 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, & 21 below. Is there any repair procedures to replace parts 20 & 21? I haven't dis-assembled anything yet, so I don't know if there is any wear on part 18. I've tried looking in some of the other threads, but didn't have much luck.

Thanks,
Larry

You can buy part #20 new... Check with our sponsors, if they don't have them then your local Binder dealer can get you fixed up.

If my memory serves me correctly I think part #20 is a little spendy, about $6.00 I think.

It's been awhile since I messed with one but I think if you unbolt part #16 it will come out from underneath and easy enough you can see what you're dealing with. Unless there is a good gap between the "prongs" on part #16 I normally run the bandsaw between them... It seems like it makes it a little easier to snug it back up when you put it back together.

Thanks, Yosemite Sam. I'll check with my local cub dealer. I had looked at the cub parts listing at the upgrade parts, but didn't consider they still had the parts for the old style.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
