Default New to me 102

Well I managed to save another one today...My wife is not the happiest person I know right now but she will get over it..lol....This one is pretty rough around the edges...Been sittin without the spark plug in the head for years the cylinder is completely full of mud dobbers..The P.O. stripped it out and couldnt get back in and just left it...Starters gone from the tractor and he couldnt find it....Shes got a pretty rusty dash tower but does not look through yet..Tires are junk...That is pretty much the bad now for the good..The drive train looks pretty good clutch looks good....tranny seems tight oh an it has a creeper....It also has the three point and something I have not seen before Dual spring assist springs on the lift and the brinly adapter....I gave 75 bucks for her so I did not get hurt for what I got in her I thought.... Looks like she'll need axle seals that will be a first for me....Well tell me what ya think guys....

Transformer,

I like how you just easily stated, "Oh well, she'll get over it!!" You did that kind of automatically.....that is hilarious!!

You did GREAT....the creeper alone is worth at least twice what you paid!!! Can the rear tires be saved with some tubes? Nonetheless, you have a great find there and as you stated, "Saved another one!!". Congratulations on your latest cub!!!

The left one looks like the sidewall is completely rotted away on the inside, so probably not. There isn't a tube in the world that'll fix that tire...

Price was right, but I would not have it in me to restore a project in that condition. But that is what makes these cadets so worth while, is to have the end result bring one to a ending result & to bring on a climax & satisfaction of a loving restoration project.

You did good - both the IH and Brinly helper springs, Brinly adapter, the 3 point - all good accessories to have. Want to sell a helper spring?

That is not in bad shape at all! Go for it....take the hood down to bear metal in less than 1hr. with a 9$ 4" flap wheel. After reading, had to sign in to see the 102. Took my 72 down to bear metal completly, and it had better paint than yours! Keep us posted.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
