Default Haban 60" Model 274

Will a Haban deck, model #374 fit on and function on, a late model 2182 serial # 827xxx?
I know it was meant to be mated up to the #325, but a #374 just came up for sale locally, for a very reasonable price (under $200)!!
Hoping it will fit or can be retrofitted to work, belt, pulley swap, etc,.
Thanks Guys!!

Most likely it's a 374... not a 274.. If it's a 374 it's just an earlier version of the 325... main difference is gauge wheels.. and yes it works very nicely.. I have one under a 2182 and a 1782

It's the best version of the Habans in my opinion

- Yes, I stand corrected, 374 is correct.

I need to get moving on it.
Thanks for your fast response!!

Deal is still alive. Going to look at it tomorrow. It has been patched.
Guess I should expect that for the price. Will know more after I look at it.

A 374 Haban is worth more than $150 even if it's nothing but a parts deck.. you better go grab it up!

If its been patched, it must have sat outdoors a long time with debris on top or it was involved in an accident. Those things are so darn heavy it will take a while to rot thru. The only issue I have ran across is with some of the factory welds breaking---it appears to be poor workmanship to be honest. I just re welded and kept going. Like any mower deck, they ALL suffer from the same wear areas. The Habans did put a little more stress on some of the places the mule drive hangs, have to weld them up if bad enough. Been a few folks here that have resurrected these decks, I spent more time and money on either my 50C or my 54GT than I did on both of my 60" Habans combined.

YGCMV (your grass clippings may vary).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
