Here is my narrow frame blade i picked up a few weeks ago along with a cw36 snowthrower. PO cut and welded brackets on the outside and cut and moved the support rod, so i need to straighten that situation out, and install the lift bracket i got on ebay from Patton Acres.

Congratulations on your newest acquisitions. The rails of your blade subframe are bent inward. You are going to need to straighten those out so they are very close to parallel in order to use it.

Thank you, good to know. i think they go on the outside of the frame on the footrest mount. Its still snowing here, so the snowblower is still hooked up, and i haven't tried to fit it up yet.
I think its been modified to fit a wide frame or different brand, but im not sure it would fit a wf because those subframe arms are different. I need to fit it up on the tractor to "size" up the mounts, they are 13" inside to inside now. I think i might see if they are in the right spot front to back, drill two 3/8 hole in each. Then i can move them to the inside which is correct for narrow frame, and bolt them back on, maybe to use for wf in the future. Steven

Tonight, I ground the brackets off the blade frame to relocate them back to the narrow frame location. I broke the frame arm bending them straight. Tomorrow i get to weld this all back together. I drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the brackets to hold them in place for welding.
20180406_195529.jpg 20180406_195540.jpg 20180406_200257.jpg I am going to use the blade to scrape rocks off the side of the drive from the snow plow.

Thanks for the dimensions. I got it welded together today, and may have just a bit of snow left to try out, ha. Here is a picture of welds and i found some primer to spray it up quick. 20180408_153052.jpg
20180408_155330.jpg One thing was i had to drill another hole where the pin head is for the quick-tach lever. Head was about 1/8 inch wider than the frame, and the bracket didn't sit flush when i tightened the bolts.20180408_160407.jpg 20180408_162952.jpg Now i just attach the blade.

Here it is hooked up. Even got a chance to push some snow, had another 2 to 3 inches. I think another tractor dedicated to blade would be a good idea.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
