A little input!!!
Been awhile since I have visited here. I found (free) a 1973 Model 129, last year! Rebuilt generator/starter, battery, general tune-up. It ran!! Mowing the lawn yesterday, Dead Top!!! Motor turns by hand. The mesh on the flywheel was rubbed by the cooling shroud and OOOPPS came off (in 3 pieces). Now no reading on the ammeter, no grubt, no groan, nada.
Any suggestions to revive this old gal?? I see no mussrd up wires. Is the a fuse or sumthin? No lighting kits is installed. Any Help????

Get a wiring diagram off the tech area of this site and start checking with a voltmeter..You probably lost a connection or safety switch somewhere.. Maybe even a ground.
Of course, start with a known good charged battery and clean battery terminals.. EDIT: Here's the link to the wide frame wiring diagrams off page four of the tech area... http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22 After checking basic grounds, check the ignition switch circuits first.
