Default I am so stoked! 128 w/ rear PTO

Found what seems like the Holy Grail of cub cadets! a 128 with a rear PTO and a useful attachment for it--a hydraulic dump cart.

It runs well (smokes a bit at start up) and the rear PTO works and the dump cart dumps!

The primary issues (other than the paint job) is the drive clutch is pretty much shot and the front PTO isn't functional because the brake on it is messed up/disabled. Plan is to fix the clutch and put a pair of 10.50 ags on it, then put it to work on a landscaping project.

Nice find!! You do such good work on your overhauls I am anxious to see the results of your efforts.

What models (years) was the rear PTO an option? I will have to do a little research, I know it has been discussed on the forum in the past.

Nice unit Frank, should be handy for many tasks around the homestead.
See what looks like a patch on the bottom of the dash tower.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
