WF Blade on a SGT?
Does a WF blade work on a 982 SGT? I tried to fit a couple of my WF blades on my 982 today and all of them seemed too short to reach the rockshaft of the tractor. Does it connect someplace else on a SGT or did I miss something?

The correct front (dozer) blade for the 982 would be the 190-401-100.

I think the lift bar on a wide frame blade interferes with the dual brakes also.
Don't quote me cause I've never tried it.

Unfortunately, this one will not work for me. He said that the subframe was a WF one and it would need to be extended.

I thought someone did a build out of a WF subframe to fit a super a year or so ago.
 My years tend to run long now days, so it may have been longer, or less.But... I remember someone here did it.

This is my assessment based from my exposure to Cub Cadets and geographic location.
I have never seen a front blade (190-401-100) for a SGT in my area. With that in mind, I would buy a regular GT front blade and make some modifications. With a Welder (yours or hired), some metal, and other tools, I would: (A) Extend the Sub-Frame arms back or (B) Fabricate a "shaft bracket" that could be bolted to the frame in the proper position for the arms of the Sub-Frame to mount up to.

Best way to attach it to the frame of the tractor is the way the Haban 190-401-100 plow mounts. If you have the Xtreme SGT rear end braces on your tractor the frame attachment points are part of the brackets that bolt to the frame.

The early 982's had an angle iron frame that goes to rear axle housing for mounting the Cub Cadet blade. Here is a picture of mine. This mount design also used a special lift system, much like the one for the H48 Haban blower on the 982.
