Well Nightow1 and I went for a drive tonight through very windy and rainy conditions to go pickup my latest... purchase. This jem has the potential to be a really cool tractor if it passes the basics. Its pretty rough, but will see in time if it will ever be more than a parts tractor!

It's rough, but I'm going to see if i can get her to run today.
If the engine is good than it's just a mater of a few parts to make her complete But over all not a bad deal. |

Nice pick up! Looks like the 1200 still has promise! I'd suggest removing the head for basic clean up and component inspection. Throw is a set of solid mounts from Jeff if need be, and check the oil pan, and engine cradle.
Good luck!! ![]()

Well got her running, 117psi compression, cleaned car, new carb kit, replaced the coil and condenser, plug and wire.
Will pull engine and go over it later but she runs great. |

![]() And here is to you reworking your barcuretor ![]() And heres to your werk on the 117spi suppression ![]() ....and hers to the wire plug on the...the...the decompressorer ![]() The 1200 is a really fun tractor to use, especially with some skinnies on the front it will steer better than power steering!! I enjoyed mine until the engine freed itself for flight and messed up my drive line. Congratulations on cub scouting with a buddy and picking up a good one!!! Looking forward to your future posts on the 1200! Cub Cadet 123

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
