I can't see very well (could be my phone). Is the the throw out arm rattling on the throw out collar? A little adjusting on the clevis to pull it tight would stop it.

I think thats what the parts are called? But its rattling here left side of the picture. Looks like its a pin with a cotter pin on the left and a bolt to the right of that.

There is a bushing in the cast piece. If it's worn, I can make you a new one.

The bushing goes in the casting and the driveshaft goes thru it.

If it's worn bad, you may need a driveshaft too if that is hacked up.

It could be the clutch operating support rattling. (OR)
If you grease up the Clutch Release Collar Assy good and still hear the noise, at least you'll know that's not the issue.

How long have you had the tractor, is this a new noise? With the tractor off, can you shake that throw out arm and reproduce the sound? It should have minimal movement to it, if it moves a lot I think that is your noise. It kind of looks like there is a slight out of roundness to the drive shaft or atleast the cast piece which is shaking the throw out arm and making noise. In other words, tightening the throw out arm or replacing it's pins may stop the noise but not fix the problem. Further investigation is needed. If you do take it apart this weekend, the manual has a nice exploded view of the clutch components so you can verify you have all the right parts.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
